I've never been an Alonzo Mourning fan, but last night I really felt bad for him. I was actually watching the Hawks-Heat game right when his knee buckled. He refused to be taken off on a stretcher. Probably was his last NBA game ever. It was sad to watch |

Alonzo Mourning has long been one of my favorite NBA players. He was always a tough defender and hard worker throughout his career and I was sad to here the news yesterday. I was amazed to see him return after the kidney transplant and wouldn't be suprised to see him come back for a couple more years after his knee heals. I know he will probably be like 40 by then, but I would be happy to see him leave on his own terms. |

I felt bad for him too and I'd consider myself a fan (moreso when he was with Charlotte). At least he got a championship though. |

He and I were in high school at the same time in Virginia Beach. He played for Kempsville and every year he and his damn chiefs beat my high like a drum. He was a monster then too.. and I've always followed him in his college/pro career. Nice guy.. |
