Al Harrington is rumored to have been traded to the Knicks on Friday, although details are still unclear.
Three possible scenarios exist, with the Knicks sending either Jamal Crawford or Malik Rose to the Warriors in the first two. The third and newest option, reported by Newsday, has the Clippers and Warriors sending Harrington, Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley to the Knicks, with Crawford, Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins being moved between the Clips and Warriors. This would clear cap space for the Knicks and give Harrington a starting job with Randolph out of the way.

Talk about cutting dead weight. D'Antoni is doing good work reshaping this on the fly. I don't see how the deal helps the Warriors at all with getting Jamal Crawford.

Agreed...they still have Monta Ellis due back in a month or two and the emergence of Morrow, not to mention Azabuike who is getting minutes. I have no idea why they would need another combo guard. I understand Harrington is in Nelson's doghouse and wasn't contributing anyway, but as much as this pains me to say I'd almost rather have Randolph

The Knicks made the 2 trades yesterday, not necessarily for this season, but 2010. Given the fact we've seen LeBron James sport the Yankees' trademark baseball cap when he's taken in a game as a fan, make no mistake about this. LeBron is as good as gone when he headlines the NBA's free agent class of 2010, even though the Cleveland Cavaliers can go over the salary cap to re-sign him. Now if only the Knicks can cut ties with Stephon Marbury and his big contract...
