The kid can't catch a break. He's not repping my school (Proviso East) very well. He was supposed to achieve Michael Finley status. Looks like he's going out like Donnie Boyce and Sherrell Ford.

I played against Boyce (pickup game), and remember Ford at MSU? He was paired with some guard that wasn't going to be as good...

Ford played for UIC, didn't he?

The best team in the deal is the Grizz who were able to dump Crittendon and get back the first rounder they lost in the trade for Juan Carlos Navarro who went back to Spain after one good year in the NBA.

Not sure what the Wiz are doing. Mike James should fit in for now but you know once Arenas is back, both of them won't fit in the same backcourt. As for crittendon, 3rd team in as many years - not a good sign for the young fellow.

Yep...he was a hidden player on NBA Live 96, and once you unlocked him, his information came up and I thought to myself "Wow its cool to see ILLINOIS-CHICAGO as his school."

Doesn't take much to amuse me.. :P

I agree Hawkeye Vince. Even with Arenas coming back I can't see the Wizards really winning that many games such that their draft pick will be that low. I admit I'm not really aware of the projections of this years draft- if it will be good or not, but I suspect that pick they got will very likely be a lottery pick so they're probably going to get a pretty good prospect with that pick. To get that for a scrub is a steal. I know the Grizzlies are pretty brutal right now but I like the direction they're heading in and the moves they're making. Mayo looks like he's going to be a pretty good player and I never really liked Mike Miller much anyway. I am wondering what's going on with Mike Conley though. Doesn't seem like he's really improved much. I know it takes more time for PG's to develop but I'd still like to see some improvement.

I was wondering the same about Conley too. I had the same discussion with someone last night in a sim league that we keep guys each year and I passed on Lowry in an earlier round because of concern that Conley was stealing a ton of minutes.

Dee wasn't doing a whole hell of a lot on the Wiz. He was starting for them and was filling the stat sheet at the tune of 2 points and 2 assists per game. I think for this season, someone might pick him up and throw him in the DLeague, but I'd expect him to be headed overseas after this year.

I saw him in a few games and actually I didn't think he looked all that bad. I think he could certainly be a solid backup guy

See I watched him a few games and I just didn't see a guy who could get it done on the offensive side.Defensively he's fine, but there are plenty of Brevin Knights and Howard Eisley's out there who are + defenders and can score. And you can always find a Dee Brown like in the draft that isn't 4 foot 11.

True...you're right in that you can probably find someone in the low 1st or 2nd round of the draft that can do the same thing but I thought he managed the game & ran the offense well and made good decisions. I'm not saying he's Chris Paul or anything but he wasn't jacking up bad shots or trying to thread the needle everyime

he certainly appeared to be working harder than he had at Illliois, which is good...
