As has been repeated many times today, this was a draft where even they couldnt screw it up, and they didnt. Picking first in a one-man draft. The only clear winner in the draft. I really like the James Harden pick. He's really unselfish and will fit in great with that nucleus. One of the best picks in the lottery in terms of team need IMO. David Kahn is apparently off to a tremendous start if his goal is to make Kevin McHale, Isiah Thomas, Chris Wallace, etc. all look like RC Buford and Bill Belichick. Rubio and Flynn absolutely CANNOT play together. If one of them arent moved in a good trade very soon that was horrible. The 2nd best player on his team was even blasting him in the middle of the draft. And you cant trade away that Lawson pick. Too many team needs to fill in right now. They needed to get something now for that pick. I did like the Ellington pick, but its an afterthought. Now Rubio might play in Spain for a couple more years, partly due to the fact that he's upset about the Flynn pick. How you dont take Curry at 6 is beyond me. Milwaukee botched their pick. Doubtful Jennings is ever as productive as Sessions, and they cleared space specifically to resign Sessions. Never a good thing when you draft a guy 10th, and he's not there cuz he wasn't sure he'd be taken in the lottery. I dont think Jrue Holiday will be a good NBA player, but the 76ers should feel great that he fell that far to him since many who know much more about him than I do like him alot. I've already said this a couple times, but DeJuan Blair will be the steal of this draft. If he can stay healthy I see him being at worst a Paul Millsap type player on the glass, with less range but better post presence. |

For once I actually agreed with Dickie V last night when he could not believe they took Flynn and Rubio, and he said that was a great way to get a coach (and GM) fired. I could not believe they passed on Curry. Rubio/Curry/Love/Jefferson would be a nice place to start for the TWolves. Stupid, just stupid. I was shocked the Bulls did not take Blair when he was there at 26. The Spurs got a steal. I also think Teague has a shot at being a nice pro player. |

Forgot about the Teague pick. He could easily flame out but a good selection at that spot. Rubio/Curry/Love/Jefferson would not just be a nice spot to start. IMO that rivals Westbrook/Durant/Green/Harden as the best young core in the league. Rubio and Curry are the only other players I really like besides Griffin in this draft. I like Harden now for where hes going, and ditto for Blair. |

Don't take this as me saying Teague can end up like Dwayne Wade, but I followed both from high school to college and now the pro's and they have had very similar improvements in ability over that time. Teague was the 5th priority for Purdue during that recruiting season and he may have actually been at Purdue if Scott Martin hadn't finished our draft class first. It came down to both having an offer and the first to accept would get it. That shows how much of an improvement in his draft stock there was. Wade was a good player in high school but would have been considered a marginal pro prospect. In the 3 years at Marquette he improved a ton and obviously he's now one of the great players alive. If Teague was coming out of college after his junior year instead of his freshmen year he probably would have been a top 3 pick with the expected improvement of a good player. I think Teague will end up being the steal of the draft. |

You seem to know alot more about Teague than I do. I dont pretend to know Wake Forest basketball or even college basketball all that well in general. He could be, I still think DeJuan will be. |

Griffin,Curry,Rubio, and the rest. None will be perennial All-Stars worst draft class in years. |

I hope the Warriors don't trade half their team for Stoudemire and keep Curry. I'd love to see him and Ellis in the backcourt together and can make it work. Also, count me in the majority that is wondering how the Wolves passed on Curry. I'm not really sold on Rubio either |
