sg: JR Smith (4)
sf: Caron Butler (5)
pf: David Lee (4)
c: Marc Gasol (3)

backups
sg: Mike Miller (2) defensive purposes, and can play the 2 or 3

pg: Jordan Farmer (2)

PG Andre Miller (4)

Brandon Wright (2)
Roy Hibbert (2)
Doc Rivers (Player/Coach)

(7) Lebron James
(5) Derrick Rose
(4) Stephen Curry(perfect compliment to those two)
(3) Joakim Noah
(2) Joel Pryzbila
(2) Channing Frye
(2) Kyle Korver
(2) Derrick Fisher

My starting 5 would likely be Lebron, Rose, Curry, Korver, and Noah.

Lebron and Rose would control the ball, with Curry and Korver shooting threes on any double team, and Noah doing nothing but rebound.

It's not a traditional lineup but I don't really see how any defense could stop it. The defensive side may suffer though.

My coach would be Popovich.

Coach K

I don't care if I went over by one...and I don't care if Coach K wasn't listed...

Start a fantasy basketball league?

Where's Michael Sweetney?

Also, any time I do this I come up with the NBA equivalent of the Cleveland Cavaliers. The point limit sucks but I guess that's sort of the point - so does the salary cap.

PG: Jose Calderon (4)
SG: Ronnie Brewer (3)
SF: Rudy Gay (5)
PF: David Lee (4)
C: Al Horford (4)

Bench: Keyon Dooling (2), Travis Outlaw (3), Leon Powe (3)

This team would be remarkably average.

This was an interesting exercise - I kept getting stuck at 28 points because I really wanted David West at the 4. Had to downgrade to David Lee - who can probably score as much as West, but I think I'll give up some rebounding and defense. Which is why I went with Big Sam at Center.

PG Jose Calderon 4
SG Brandon Roy 6
SF Richard Jefferson 4
PF David Lee 4
C Samuel Dalembert 3

B1 Derrick Fisher 2
B2 Jason Kapono 2
B3 Roy Hibbert 2

Jameer Nelson - 4
Kobe - 7
Trevor Ariza - 3
David Lee - 4
Noah - 3

Backups
Mike Miller - 2
Speights - 2
Pryzbilla - 2

Pops would be the coach

I think you're confused. West is a better offensive player than Lee but Lee is almost certainly a better rebounder. I wouldnt consider West a better defensive player either.

Nas, you have no starting PG.

Theres no chance of that. You dont have a PG and barely have a SG. Your team defense would be atrocious also. Ariza and Kobe could nuetralize Rashard and LBJ. Nelson would have a field day against anyone on your roster. Camby would likely be DNP - Injury. Even if he did play Im not sure he would be more effective than Noah. My David Lee would play better than your David Lee because he would be more comfortable playing for a white owner. Speights would also own Jordan.

I dont know where to begin. Farmar would bring alot of energy and can shoot? I can bring alot of energy and shoot but not necessarily do either well, ditto with Farmar. He's terrible. Nelson would clearly guard Mike Miller and honestly it would be too easy. Kobe and Ariza would switch up assignments on LBJ, Ariza would definitely be effective there. BTW... Camby sucks, this isnt 2006. Farmar, Jordan, and Wright would only insure that you have the worst bench in the league. And yeah, my David Lee would be better... The white basketball fan public is desirious of a successful white PF.

BTW.. you havent addressed the fact that you picked one of the worst overall defensive squads possible. Could be an issue. All Im sayin.

Wow, there is a lot of love here for David Lee. Is it enough love to make Lee the official power forward of CSFMB?

When did Nelson become a good defender let alone a good post defender? Kobe and Ariza would be in foul trouble every game guarding King James. For a guy that says he watches basketball a lot it is really laughable to say Camby sucks or to say Noah is better than Camby at anything. Looks like you've taken a couple years off from watching the game. When it comes to defense I'll take my team every day of the week. Camby is a top 2 shot blocker and LeBron is a good defender and a great shot blocker. David Lee is solid too. The length of Lewis and Miller will cause a lot of problems for guys like Kobe and Nelson. You haven't acknowledge the fact that Nelson wouldn't have the ball in his hands often with Kobe on the team. That makes him a spot up shooter that has to shoot over taller defenders. Not a good recipe for success.

You consider Mike Miller a good post player and then accuse me of not watching the game? Nelson and Kobe could absolutely play together, neither NEEDS to have the ball in his hands to be effective. Sucks is too strong a word, but Cambys stats fell almost across the board, he missed 20 games, and he's 35 and big men notoriously age quickly. And LeBron is a great defender, but Camby's declining and honestly hasnt puts up great defensive stats without really making his team a good defensive squad. Denver's defense last year was siginificantly better than when he was there. And Lee is ok. Everyone else on your team is downright bad. Your bench would be pretty ineffective.

Yeah it'll be a fun season. Cant wait for this fall for football and basketball. The summer sport is pretty boring this year.
