from espn.com
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Kentucky freshmen Eric Bledsoe, DeMarcus Cousins, Daniel Orton and John Wall and junior Patrick Patterson will enter their names in this year's NBA draft, the school announced in a release on Wednesday.

All five players are projected as first-round picks.

It marks the second straight season a UK player has declared early for the draft. All-American Jodie Meeks decided to forego his senior season last year to turn pro.

This really is ridiculous. The NCAA & NBA need to consider restricting the NBA draft to college Juniors & Seniors. I could care less about the NBA but kids leaving college after their freshman year is bad for the college game.

Fuck the college game. They don't give a shit about the players. It should be like baseball where everyone is eligible for the draft after their senior year of high school. If you don't sign you have to wait at least three years if you go to a four year school before you can reenter the draft.

Doesn't this keep the College game at a higher level of grindiness?

As long as they followed the rules, I don't think it's a big deal that they had 5 players go to college for a year and then went to the NBA. They didn't come anywhere close to winning the title even with all that potential talent. I'd rather have the 0 or 3 years rule but John Wall was an interesting player and Kentucky was an interesting story.

The reason that Baseball is the way you say is because no one gives a shit about College Baseball. But even the Baseball rule would be an improvement.

I cant wait to laugh at the team that drafts Daniel Orton. Luckily for us, he should go before the Bulls draft since they'll have Milwaukee's draft spot.
