His moves generally didn't work out, but I mean geez they made it to the conference finals....were able to recover fairly quick from the Shaq debacle too. He took chances at least, I'll give him credit for that

Yeah. The Shaq trade was abysmal. Did he hire Porter? That was an awful move too. Seemed like he was getting better though.

Especially considering how Jefferson hasnt progressed. I think he's made some good moves since then. The 'Sheed move sucked, but he has come up big in a couple playoff games.

Truth be told, had Danny Ainge not made the Kevin Garnett trade with the Timberwolves 3 years ago, Boston fans demanded the firing of the Celtics' General Manager.

Thats correct. He was on the firing block until he got lucky and got KG and Ray.

I am not saying Ainge is a great GM or anything close. But to put him on the same level as Kerr or Paxson is just dumb. He was a part of putting together a team that has won a championship, he has to get some credit for that.
