Duhon to the Magic for 4 years and 15 mil total. Who knew there was such a shortage of point guards?

A'm'a'r'e's max. Knicks could have paid 1/2 as much for Lee and got pretty much the same production. I suppose if that gets LeBron it's worth it, but if not the Knicks are still a joke.

Joe Johnson's max. Don't want to break up the continual first round losers, although now that he's got a full boat they might have to.

Hawks have made it to the 2nd round the past 2 years, first of all

I do agree with you about the Amare deal, although I think there's a battle of pure basketball decisions vs. public opinion going on here in some ways. Dollar for dollar, Lee might actually give you more. But as a Knicks fan, for one you've already seen the team with Lee and know it's not going anywhere. You, the fan, can probably be temporarily excited by a "new beginning" and a "superstar" that's getting a max deal. The day may not be appreciably better, but they'll worry about that later.

Indeed, although in my defense, I'd still consider the Milwaukee series a loss for them :D

Knick's fans have seen Lee and a team built to clear cap space (and Chris Duhon), so I'm not sure they can really think they know it's not going anywhere. However since Knick's fans are pretty deluded they may believe that.

Plus you can pitch the Knicks justifiably apathetic fan base on the idea that Amare had his best seasons when D'Antoni was coaching him on the Suns

Amare Stoudemire's supposed to be a really bad rebounder and not much of a defender...$100 million well spent by the Knicks.
