From ESPN:

Everything is set for Chris Bosh to join LeBron James in Cleveland. Everything, that is, except Bosh's approval.

The Toronto Raptors have told the Cleveland Cavaliers they will do a sign-and-trade with them for Bosh, according to several league sources.

The exact details of the potential trade have not been solidified, but Toronto likely would get Anderson Varejao and/or J.J. Hickson, Delonte West and perhaps Anthony Parker. A draft pick could be involved as well.

KC Johnson has an article out about the fact the Bulls are still in talks with the Raptors about Bosh.

And as Wojo just stated on the Danny Mac show if Bosh and Lebron end up in Cleveland, that might actually help the Bulls get Wade and Boozer, because there would be no one to go to Miami with him.

RFDC, I agree. Personally, I just don't see how Bosh going to Cleveland will make any sense whatsoever, at least for him. I mean, there isn't ANYBODY else on that roster, and Cleveland can't play 4 forwards.

If all of this happens that will make for a crazy Bulls vs. Cavs rivalry in the East for the next few years

Bosh would have to play center for Cleveland.

If there's any truth to this story, does this mean that LeBron is definitely staying in Cleveland OR is this the window of opportunity for the Cavs to get something done with Bosh so James will stay?

If Bosh ends up in Cleveland, Miami is going hard after Boozer. Utah could still be in this mix as well.

If Cleveland only adds Bosh (and keeps LBJ) and gets rid of Varajeao (i know FF is someone where having a grabber) and other assorted role players, they might actually be worse than last year

And if Delonte goes in the deal, who is going to play with Momma Lebron?

Right, but Bosh has already gone on record as saying he would not play center anywhere.

I just posted the same thing. I don't buy this report unless Toronto has decided to play Kevin McHale or Jerry West to help out the Cavs. To get Bosh and only Bosh from the Raptors the Cavs would have to give up this:

Anderson Varejao- $7M next season and $42M over next 5 years
JJ Hickson- $1,528,920
Delonte West- $4,658,500
Anthony Parker- $2,855,770

This deal would save them only $5M next season and they wouldn't have a trade exception. On top of that taking back a salary of a role player worth $40M+ makes no sense. Is Hickson better than Taj Gibson? Probably not. Is Varejao better than Deng? No chance. Especially when you consider there is an average annual difference of only $1.6M over the next 5 years.

The report also says that Cleveland can take back some bad contracts (Turkoglu) but that's not possible unless Toronto was willing to take back the equally bad contract of Jamison because that is the only way the Cavs could come close to the $21.2M in salaries they would have to give away to take on the $26.4M in salaries they would be getting back. Adding Jamison to the trade above and taking away West and Parker would accomplish this but it would also take away the $4.1M in savings they would get by waiving West. Unless there is a 3rd team involved no trade scenario would make sense for the Raptors.

I agree that it is a ridiculous business venture, but what if Toronto is thinking about moving the Raptors to the lower 48? Does this move (unloading one expensive player) make more sense when thinking about a possible team sale?

This could all be a negotiating ploy by the Raptor to get the Bulls to cave and give up Noah. The Bulls are usually quiet when it comes to making deals so that could be why we aren't hearing anything.

Is that extra money really worth living in Cleavland for the next 6 years?

It's really only $4M over the next 5 years. I know it's kind of crazy to say ONLY $4M but LeBron probably wipes his ass with that. Based on the new car he drives everyday it sure seems like it.

I was actually referring to Bosh, James I can understand. He has ties, he would be damned by his home state for the rest of his life. But Bosh? I don't get it...

I think Chris Bosh wants his money, whether it's a sign & trade or if Bosh sacrifices $30 million more from the Raptors to sign elsewhere as a free agent.

Bosh is the one I actually get. He may not be able to make that $4M up in endorsements and he may not be good enough in 4 or 5 years to get an extension that will make up the money from not having a 6th year. Wade may fall into this category too. I doubt LeBron will have that problem because he will only be 30.

ESPN.com is reporting Bosh to Miami. Not sure if it will be a sign and trade as Miami only has two FUCKING players on their team. What a joke.
