You know it's going to happen.

Can the kid coach really handle all that talent on the floor at the same time?

Phil Jackson vs Pat Riley in the NBA Finals 2011? That'd be a good time.

I don't think they've ever met in the NBA Finals previously--Riley's last season as Lakers coach was 1990. And the Heat faced the Mavs the year they won it all under Riley.

Phil Jackson is 14 wins to 9 losses (I think) and 3 series to 2 series career vs Pat Riley in the playoffs:

1991 Chicago sweeps Riley's Knicks 3-0 in the 1st round
1992 Chicago beats Riley's Knicks 4-3 (after sweeping Glenn Rice, Seikaly and Steve Smith's (? was he there then?) Heat in the Heat's first ever playoff appearance)
1993 Chicago beats Riley's Knicks 4-2 in the Eastern Conf Finals.
1994 Riley's Knicks beat Jackson's Jordan-less Bulls 4-3 in the 2nd round

So yeah, about that second chance...Panthro had an untimely message board demise and I currently find myself without a message board friend. I have a contract here that's waiting for a signature.

While they will most certainly find a way to come back and win, they are currently down 17 to the Pacers at home despite a greater than 2-1 advantage on foul calls.

edit: Now that the fouls are an absurd 19-7 in favor of Miami they have cut it to 7.

I thought they were just going through the motions or something in the first half, but no, the pacers actually beat them in Miami by 16. Get your game suit and your grease ready Riles.

Haslem's injury basically took away their only interior defender. They are remarkably average right now.

They thought Z was the answer. Problem is....what was the question? Hint: It had something to do with limited to 20 minutes a night.

Here's how old Juwan is: He was drafted before I got to high school. And I'm 30.

You can't lose to the Pacers at home. I'm guessing Riley is coaching by Christmas. Maybe they will pull a Bulls move and fire the coach on Christmas Eve. Wade has been really inconsistant.

Riley has to be licking his chops. I am sure he would love to jump in and
try to save the day. This should be interesting the next few weeks.
