Mitchell native Mike Miller intends to sign a five-year, $30 million deal with the Miami Heat, sources told KSFY late Thursday night.

Earlier in the night, LeBron James announced his intention to sign with Miami, joining Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade with the Heat.

Miller spent last season with the Washington Wizards.

Not good Bulls fans.

I don't want Miller. Strictly as a shooter I think Reddick and Korver are better.

How can they afford that after getting the big 3?

Yes, not sure of the cap space they saved from him would be enough thou

I thought they had to dump Beasley to be able to sign Lebron?

They can go over the cap by offering veterans contracts starting at the minimum of their service years. I don't know the figures exactly, but say a 10 year vet is $5mil, they can escalate a multiyear deal from there. Boston did this very effectively several years ago, but who knows if there are Eddie House type role players out there willing to take minimum salaries. It also indicates that likely, none of the Big 3 are going to be making max money.

James, Bosh and Wade all are taking a little less, so combined with Beasley being dumped, that probably frees up enough space for Miller, who I am assuming has a back-loaded deal as well. They probably are now up against the cap, but can still offer the minimum deals now to players. I also think they will try to resign Haslem as well.

This team is going to have 6 or 7 competent players, and then will depend on a rookie or 2 (they diid draft 4 guys in the 2nd round) to be the 8th and 9th guys in the rotation.
