So I know that the Dream Team is getting inducted as a whole into the hall of fame. Did every player from that team outside of Christian Laettner get inducted individually? I know I could look it up. |

The thing ill always remember about Chris Mullin is that my friend always believed he could beat him in a 1 on 1 basketball game  And he was absolutely serious

Mullin shot over 50% for his career (great for basically a jump shooter) He shot an amazing 55% one year Shot 38% from the arc for his career, not too shabby Shot 86% from the FT line for his career, again not too shabby Arguably the best pure shooter ever But I have to be honest. Mullin was one of my favorite players ever. He was a part of some really fun teams. But if you just look at his stats its hard to make a really strong case for him being in the HoF. The numbers he put up in his prime are pretty damn good. But his prime was only about 5-6 years |

Chris Mullin was an amazing shooter, but I dont think HoF when I think of his career. Very good certainly, but I dont think he'll make the HoF. Maybe if KS was voting... didn't he suggest Josh Howard was gonna be a HOF'er a couple years ago?

It's possible we'd be looking at him differently if he played on some better teams but once Mitch left Golden State for Sacramento, it was over. Sprewell was too young and raw to be "that guy." I think injuries slowed Mullin down as well. |

I think you could throw him in the HOF without too much of an outcry. Granted he'd be a fringe HOFer, but to have a 5-6 year peak in the league is def something to be respected. I think a lack of playoff wins really hurts him. He's admittedly had a drinking problem. That prolly slowed him down more than anything. |

Article from 2003: Mullin was only 24 when confronted by then-Warriors executive Don Nelson in December 1987. Mullin had missed two practices in a week. Nelson told Mullin it had to stop. It wasn't the first time Mullin had heard it; his family had expressed concern, and his father had alcohol problems until his death from cancer. But this time, Mullin wasn't given an option. He finally owned up to the situation. He was soon in Centinela Hospital in Los Angeles for treatment, missing seven weeks of the season, his third in the NBA. "He had a huge influence on me," Mullin said of Nelson. "It took me a while [to admit it]. It really did. But when I got to the treatment facility, I was reading all the literature and I said, `Yup, that's me.' " |

I've always liked and respected Mullin because he was a raging alcoholic his first few pro seasons (remember the shaggy hair and scraggly beard?) He admitted his problem, got help, and turned into a hell of a pro. For some reason, I liked that St. John's team with him and Walter Berry. |
