There is no dout Jerry R is just not letting a second NBA team walk into Chicago. However, Uncle Jerry has a price? $100 million? Paid over 10 years? Maybe $200 mill NBA Credit Voucher towards luxury taxes? Everything with the understanding that they will be gone in 5 years or 3 years, sold to a owner outside 300 miles from Chicago? After this Russian guy bought the NEts its obvious the NBA has lowered the ethical qualifications to buy a team, so with that said....The VEGAS CASH! Yeah, it's time to let Vegas get a team in some major sport. |

A team situated in the somewhat farther north/western suburbs in a proper locale could post some decent attendance figures as an alternative to the quote/unquote "real" NBA team .... in light of which uncle Jerry better send a really special Hanukkah card to Stern for the gift of Rose - if this was 6-10 years ago, Jerry would be shitting glass over the idea of another team in the area. |

I'll be shocked if there's NBA in the subarbs anywere. But I'll be there to watch, I'll guarantee that. I had Bulls season tickets but could never make a game due to the drive. |

Kid Cairo claimed that he would not embrace a second team, but I'm willing to bet that he would just because they are the underdog and no one likes them. And Doug would embrace the team for similar reasons, and then once they became too popular he would then lose his fandom because they wouldn't be "cool" to him anymore. |
