Yes, probably should be axed as it's blase and worn out...but perhaps having Blake Griffin will re-energize things

Griffin
JaVale McGee
Serge Ibaka
OKC fav Brandon Jennings

unfortunately for CoF, no Shannon Brown this year

Are any of these guys (besides Griffin) actual all stars? Is Griffin even an all star?

The answer to all of those...No.

well no....I mean Griffin does have pretty good numbers, guess you could make a case but the West is loaded w/ forwards.... but as for the others, no. but that's not really pertinent

i thought Jennings was injured too

Then, to me, this contest is invalid if it is taking place on "All Star Weekend".

See, this is my problem with the NBA skills contests...at least in hockey, they use guys that are actually playing in the game.

Wow according to Wikipedia Serge Ibaka's full name is

Sergeballu LaMu Sayonga Loom Walahas Jonas Hugo Ibaka

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serge_Ibaka

Should have opted to put all of that on the back of his jersey

Yes, the "stars" play in the Skills competition and the 3 point contest...not so much the Dunk contest....I'd argue that Blake would be the biggest "star" to do it since Amare?

Blake Griffin has some serious ups. I guess he's the bigger star in the contest. I'm just glad Spudnate Robinson isn't in it. That year he retried his dunk like 10 times was the worst thing I ever saw in that event

The last contest I saw from start to finish was the Vinsanity show

I'm like Tim Hardaway. I hate Nate Robinson.

Due to bad judging, Shannon didn't make it out of the first round. That was a travesty. He's a better dunker than Spastic Nate, for starters. Nate Robinson is Cliff Levinston with his legs half chopped off.

Wouldn't comparing Nate to Wayman Tisdale be more appropriate?
