How does this get him closer to a championship? |

This would absolutely destroy the Knicks fans. |

Keeping Score wrote: That article says the Nets are giving up FOUR FIRST ROUND PICKS. Holy crap. And Favors and others. 3/4ths are conditional and likely not in the lottery. The Nets pick would be pretty high though. |

Keeping Score wrote: I'm just not feeling it. Chauncey's got what? Couple years left of high level (relatively) ball? Shelden Williams has already been called the worst player in the NBA. And Melo, while a great scorer, can be seriously questioned about how far a team can go with him. I agree. I think this deal is going to backfire on the Nets. I don't see them as being able to compete with the elite in the Eastern Conference. They are still not as good as Boston, Miami, Chicago, Orlando, or Atlanta. |

I really hope the Nets get him. Anytime the Knicks lose out on anything it makes me happy. Not to mention that the Knicks give the Bulls a lot of trouble when they play and Melo would give them the big time scorer they are lacking |

Keeping Score wrote: I still don't see why the Clippers aren't involved. They are in LA. (See LaLa for why that's important) They own Minnesota's and their own #1's. More assest than the Nets, Knicks. I don't get it. Bill Simmons has written several times about why it would be a more desireable destination. I think you can look no further than Donald Sterling as to the reason why. |
