Why did they just give away their best player for basically a bag of balls? |

It's a money move but they could have gotten a lot more than that. Wallace is one of the best all around players in the league. |

They seem to be playing well since Larry Brown was fired, and this just seems like they are waving the white flag for the season. Yes, I know they aren't title contenders, but for a team that isn't a big money maker, making the playoffs is important. They must be banking on Portland falling out of the playoff hunt in the next years (which could be possible) and getting some good first round picks in return. |
