yeah getting rid of perkins was retarded, and i agree d'antoni is gone after the season. lakers and celtics are hasbeens. knicks with a good hire could be real good.

I'm sorry. I just sat and thought about this... He averaged 26ppg and 9rpg the year before he was injured and he was like 22years old. Being so young, that means his offensive game wasn't even close developed. It is frightening to think of the numbers he could have put up in D'Antoni's offensive sets had he not been snake bitten. Still the best example of a successful recovery from microfracture surgery.

yeah i thought his career was pretty much over when he was hurt in phoenix, he clearly is not affected by it. he would have been my number 3 mvp vote rose 1 , howard 2

The knee doesn't work the same as it could without the injury. He missed a solid year of development as well. His ideal career statistical trajectory would have been unmatched by contemporary post players (Aside from Shaq in his aging prime years) without the injury. I'm talking between 30-32ppg//11-13rpg for an entire season. Maybe more.
