Depending how you define Dominate. (See Kerry Wood 20 K game vs. Mark Buehrle perfect game thread for clarification) Not meaning most successful but most unstoppable? Earth is a better place for this \/ having happened, I know that |

Tough to say he was more dominant than Wilt. But Tim Duncan was an All World defender, in his early prime and one of the best ever, and just couldn't contain Shaq in 01 and 02. It was clearly time to retire but the NBA will miss the Big Guy |

He could never compete physically against today's athlete. |

I am a huge Shaq fan, especially when he was in college and first drafted. My brother was a Duke fan and argued with me that Christian Laettner would be a better pro than Shaq. I win. |

Terry's Peeps wrote: My brother was a Duke fan and argued with me that Christian Laettner would be a better pro than Shaq. That's a bad sports thought. I saw Shaq in college. He was excited to come to Assembly Hall because his goal was to rip an entire standard down, not just the backboard, the whole free-standard structure and he thought Illinois' hoops were designed such that he could do it there. He didn't. Rennie Clemons dunked on him also. |

If his punch would have connected with Brad Miller, his career may have been finished. |

Definitely one of the all time greats. In his prime he was damn near unstoppable. Everyone says how dominating Wilt was in his day but had Shaq played back then it would have been a massacre for those little NBA players |

It's because Shaq was regularly out-muscling DOUBLETEAMS. Think about that. He was strong enough to beat double coverage in the post. |

Quote: Most dominant player ever? Certainly the richest. He banked over $300m in his career (just salary, not counting endorsements), by far the most ever. |

Side note: Pandora does comedy stations now. I have Mitch Hedberg, Louis CK, Kevin Hart, Richard Pryor & Geroge Carlin stations. All fantastic. You need to check that shit out... |
