State must run pretty smooth if they have time for this... http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/14/sports/basketball/governor-makes-mavericks-honorary-ohioans.html COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — John Kasich, the governor of Ohio, LeBron James’s home state, has issued a resolution praising the Dallas Mavericks for their N.B.A. title, won Sunday over the Miami Heat. Without naming James, Kasich’s resolution commends the Mavericks for their “loyalty, integrity and teamwork.” He also makes them honorary Ohioans. The resolution singles out Dirk Nowitzki, the most valuable player of the finals, for re-signing with the Mavericks and forgoing free agency last summer, “thus remaining loyal to the team, city and fans for whom he played his entire career.” James made an opposite choice by departing the Cleveland Cavaliers for Miami when he became a free agent. The resolution says that “the proud city of Cleveland and the entire state of Ohio share in the excitement of Dallas Mavericks fans everywhere.” Oh yeah, and I heard the best and most original LeBron joke. So LeBron has three quarters in his pocket.... |

What's funny is that Lebron could totally be getting sympathy for "overreaction" to his loss if not for his "The King is rich! You are still my peasants!" comments. This summer though, some sportswriters who need to fill space will come up with a "You shouldn't hate Lebron, you should love Lebron because America is mean to him(probably racist undertones) and he's never been arrested!". The problem is that Lebron will do or say something stupid again and reset the clock. He's by far the most sheltered and out of touch player in history. If some of the reports are true of what other NBA players think of him I don't think it's a lock that players will go to Miami to play for free and try and win a title. That will probably be New York. |

But why do people hate him? Because he isn't as good at basketball as they wanted him to be? |

Your thoughts are on you, not LeBron James. He's just a guy who plays hoops. You're the guy who declared him great and has now changed his mind. |

My thoughts are clear. I know you've read them because you've responded to them. Remember when you disagreed with me that this was still Wade's team? We can go over that one again if you like. |

Furthermore, I find it hilarious that you look at the Dallas series and declare it Wade's team and completely ignore that LeBron completely dominated the Bulls series, which they won. |

It's irrelevant really but is completely clear that it is Wade's team. One series was significantly more important and more intense than the other. |

Sorry, for a team to be CLEARLY someone's team, they have to be the best player on the team. Wade is not the best player on his team. |

Keeping Score wrote: Brick, if somebody close to you was around the age of, I don't know, say 18 (when we know it all, but we don't know shit)......and that somebody close to you said "Brick, I'm going to be the best damn architect this world has ever seen". Let's just say that 7 years later, one of the most fabulous buildings that your "somebody close" invented, was the runner up in the "Best Architect in the World Award" Yes.
Who you disown and or distance yourself and or crucify that person endlessly from that point forward? Even though that person may still have another 10 great years to prove your fantasy correct? |

My answer was actually not accurate. If this person were to join up with someone who had already won the "Best architect" award and make it almost impossible to realize who actually was the one who was the reason for the great buildings I would for them giving up doing what they said they'd do. The only place that I would have had a problem with Lebron going to was Miami because of the fact that Wade already won a title there and "The Chosen One" should want to prove he's better than Wade and not that he can win with him. Justify it all you want. A guy told you for a decade he wanted to be the greatest and then he took the easiest way possible to try and get there. It's backfired. |

You've just described Frank Lloyd Wright. Who really did design the Charnley-Persky House??? |

During interviews LeBron will sometimes defer to Wade. Wade never does this. When the big 3 are photographed Wade is in the middle. Against Dallas and Boston Wade got in his ear. Lebron wouldn't do that to Wade Wade's team |

So basically, the mayor just shit on the Cleveland Cavaliers TEAM by honoring a team from another city, just to spite one player. Smart move numbnut. |
