Roy. Ming had more time and had probably peaked.

Len Bias is jealous of both of em though

This is a shame, he was a solid player and a good guy from all accounts I have read.
Hopefully he can latch on to some kind of front office job if he wants one.

Definitely Roy. You expect a 7 foot 6 science experiment from China to break down at some point.

Isn't this good for Portland? It's been known for awhile now that Roy was effectively finished as an NBA player, thus making his contract Rashard-bad. Now the Blazers get rid of it and save their amnesty, right?

They should just turn around and amnesty that contract they just gave to Oden

:x They didn't draft Jordan because they didn't need him at they time. They needed a center. They already had Clyde from the previous year's draft. Stop it everybody!

That would be like the Bulls drafting Derrik in 2008 and then somehow getting John Wall in 2010. Why would they do that?

Simmons actually debunked this theory in his book. Bowie was already injury prone at the time and Jordan was the most exciting college bball player coming out. Could have flipped Drexler and other parts for a serviceable big man. Even at the time people thought it was a questionable decision to take Bowie.

Yup but they're going to suck. Now would be a good time to have KD.

Because you always take the best available player? ESPECIALLY when he is better than anyone you have on your team at the time.

Whether Jordan was better than Clyde in 1984 is debatable. I think Clyde was the better player until about 1987.

They won't suck, this doesn't really change much. Unfortunately they will be stuck in 45 win NBA No-Man's Land, which sucks.

At possibly no point in his life was Drexler better than Jordan.

Yeah but at many points in his life Clyde was probably better than Pippen.

Pippen was not a touted prodigy. He was raw. It's amazing how Scottie went from this raw, spastic, energetic stick figure, to being a top-ten player in NBA history.

i don't think any of you remember how great clyde was...and you can't separate jordan all time from jordan rookie to 3rd season.
