Lin will be a cash cow for New York. Think of all the merchandise & apparel that will be moved all around the world because of him. That will also be a big factor on whether or not New York decides to move him.

I think the Knicks would jump at the chance to move Amare and that contract, although I don't know why Orlando would want to take it back. He's lost a lot of explosiveness since the microfracture knee surgery.

there is no trade market at all for Amare -- his contact is uninsurable, which immediately eliminates most of the league from even considering it, plus he's rapidy declining and has three years left after this one at nearly $20 mil a pop. So they would have to deal Melo, which would be quite the irony. But if I'm New York I don't do anything rash just yet -- let this play out and see what you have with Lin and Smith playing, and then make decisions this summer.
