Just glad to see Barkley calling him out for a guy who rides others capes, cries at every touch and has a fadeaway as his priimary jump shot now. I think he is a great leader and is a pressure guy, but he never was a #1 guy, always tonto! |

He has turned into a little bitch. I thought he would rub off on LeBron, but sadly LeBron has rubbed off on him and he is now a little bitch. |

Shaq was still helpful but was past his prime by that point. That was Wade's team all the way. |

he never grew his game. he was flash, he could get between people. then he got old as he waited for lebron to come babysit him. now he has faded talent and no new skills. he was always a whiny bitch, nothing new there. |

LeBron looks up to Wade. He's still their most clutch player. |

D Wade ain't winning shit without Shaq that year. |

He aught to just retire. The Heat aren't going anywhere, so there's no point in continuing on. |

Shaq and Mourning were huge. Along with GP. |

Obviously they weren't winning without Shaq, you could almost always say that about the 2nd best player on a title team. But Wade averaged Jordan numbers in the Finals and to say he wasn't the #1 guy is just plain silly. |

And he looked stupid last night. |

Scottie was the best player at that point but Jordan was still money when it mattered. |

You just described Jordan during the second threepeat. While I while not deny certain similarities, Jordan was one of the few players ever that I wanted crying about everything, because he did influence refs. Jordans fade aways came when in the post, not from 3, the elbow, etc. Jordan had a real post up game at the game and Jordan could drive to the basket without turning to his side, throw the ball up under hand and run into everyone, lay on the floor and cry foul. Jordans defense was MUCH better and Jordan played FULL games at age 37! Please do not try and tell me that Jordan was like Wade. Not even in the same breath. Wade is a very good player who had a great series. He gets credit for that, but he is not in the picture without Shaq and now is a shell of what he was. |

bigfan wrote: Please do not try and tell me that Jordan was like Wade. Not even in the same breath. Of course not, but he moved away from the hoop as he got older just like most guys do. Jordan had two distinct careers- one as a Dr. J type scorer, the other as a shooter. Bulls fans like to remember it as if he always had all of those components of his offensive game working at the same time, but that isn't true. And that's the thing about Rose. I'm not sure how long he can keep this type of slashing game up at his size. He's 23 years old and he gets hurt every night already. At some point he's going to need to develop a shot. The only other guy I can think of who played like Rose is Iverson who was even smaller. Those are the two quickest guys I have ever seen with the ball. Iverson was a great player but he didn't really last. It's a rough go in the land of the giants. |

Post subject: | Re: D Wade |
To explain to me Jordan didnt slash and cut to the hope as much when he got to 33, yeah I thiink I got that, but he still could. Jordan developed a tremendous post game and needed a fade away as double teams from 4's and 5's came after him. While he was not as quick at 35, he had a complete game and if you wanted to put a quicker 6'2" guard on him, he went in the post. He went around bigger players on the 'perrimature', etc. I literally missed less than 10 games of Jordans entire career sitting within 20 feet of the court. The guy owned the floor like nobody ever has or will. The intimidation he had over other players, refs and coaches was amazing. You knew when "make up calls" were coming when MJ asked for it! While Wade might have had an MJ like stat run in the 2006 finals, it was nowhere near what MJ did over a career of raising his ability and desire to win every single year. If a guy started mouthing off, Jordan took him one on one and talked shit non stop to the guy. It elevated Jordans game. In 2007 a team went 15-67 with D Wade being The Man after Shaq was traded. Sorry, but guys in that class of player dont have teams that go 15-67! They just dont let it happen. |

The only player currently playing that has any shot of being close to Michael Jordan is Kobe Bryant. But even he has lost twice in the Finals, which never happened with Jordan. He could break the scoring record since he started playing at age 19. What is quite remarkable about those Bulls teams is that they never had a dominant center or a memorable point guard. I enjoyed the last three championships more than the first 3 because it was fun to watch Rodman do all the dirty work. |

Isn't it also believed that he led the Chicago Bulls on to basically be as close as he could be to Lebron and Bosh to get them to Miami? I can't blame him but as a Chicago fan I can dislike him more. |

It's amazing to think people actually thought DWade considered signing with the Bulls a couple seasons ago. No way he was going to come anywhere near this crazy ass bitch. |
