I'm going to go ahead and say this is a terrible idea.

as an overall fan of entropy, i am all for this move! anything htat gets him away from inside the NBA, the once sacred ground that he kind of..... doesn't help.

I doubt he'd be much more than a figurehead hired in hopes of signing Dwight to a long term deal.

Shaq as GM + Isaiah as coach = Championship

Are the Magic the most inept organization in sports? I would tell that flaky Caller Bob Howard to fuck off. They've made themselves laughing stocks over this shit, and he's still gonna walk. Shaq? Really? Unfuckingbelivable!!!

Shaquille O'Neal's TNT teammate, the always outspoken Charles Barkley was a guest on "The Dan Patrick Show" this morning. Chuck did confirm that Shaq is interested in the position, but he feels fellow big man Dwight Howard needs to make up his mind regarding whether or not the current man in the Magic's middle wants to stay or follow now former head coach Stan Van Gundy & GM Otis Smith out of Orlando once & for all.

All that being said, Shaq as GM in Orlando? That's a bad idea.

I wouldn't hire Shaq to manage a Burger King.

I would however hire him to run a Rally's.

I think the two entities deserve each other, just to sink into the muck and mire together. Someone just light the building on fire and quietly leave.

I'm in favor of anything that gets Shaq off TNT, whether that means he's a front office figure or a figure skater.

I miss the little Penny puppet. That's when this Magic club was on top.

Shaq's apparently staying right where he is at Turner/TNT Sports, but quite frankly, I don't know who's right for the Magic GM job. SheridanHoops.com reports that the Magic might be ready to clean house, starting with their diva-like All-Star big man Dwight Howard.
