I was so excited going into the new NBA season. Now, with my internets TV, I can just order the NBA League Pass Broadband instead of paying for both the TV and the Broadband. But now, if I'm reading correctly on the League website, they're the same price! Great Gatsby! What gives?!

If you buy the TV package, normally you get free broadband access. I've used a friends login the last couple seasons because he would only watch on TV.

well, that's what I did last season...I loaned out my broadband password but did the TV package. I'm now pretty put out b/c I have to make a hard decision. Thought the broadband was less money.

I may just have to do the 5 team deal. Less money and I can probably whittle it down to who I really want to watch...

leads to the question, why would someone just pick broadband? That makes no sense when it's thrown in for free...

There's like a $140 difference in the two. (Broadband vs TV)

 Where it says "broadband", click on "Learn More". Be informed.

that makes me mad too...don't be a jackwagon and post a lower dollar amount. It's relatively close to bait and switch.

It sure is. It makes absolutely no sense for TV/Broadband/Mobile to be the exact same price as just Broadband.

Brutal.

And I'm a dumbass.

now see, I'm starting to like you.

You won't be able to get the Bulls games though, right?

can't get 'em either way. which is no problem locally, obviously.

Well if you're going to do the Pick 5, just go with these and you should be all good:

Bulls
Heat
Thunder
Lakers
Grizzlies

well...

can't do Bulls, would be a waste as none of those games come through. I'd say at the moment:

Minnesota (love watching Rubio if he's back)
Thunder
L.A. Lakers
Houston
Clippers or a late coast team (Portland/Sacramento/Golden State)

Last one is due to getting off work late a lot of nights.

considering it in a year. Can't now due to contract. I really do love dish though, but that internet TV is making a strong case for getting rid of it. Anything I need is available on my time schedule and still in HD.

Local sports is the biggest thing keeping me from doing it. Also curious what Apple is cooking up, but it sounds like that's still a year or more off.

a good antenna, NBA League Pass and MLB TV would keep me quite sane.

It's Comcast though, you wouldn't get any games on there.

oh yeah. Duh. Although I catch more games the day after anyway. So I could watch any Bulls game or Cubs game the next day.

Through the streaming services, they black out the local team. You would get all the games on WGN, but none from CSN as it's not over the air.

COF, lemme know if you need a sub

I thought the Griz are your team. Did you not dedicate a whole thread to them?

that was a tongue in cheek thread. I had almost no intention of updating it, started liking the Griz, watched 'em for a while then fell in love with Minnystota...then went on a large unplanned board sabbatical.

well, the unplanned board sabbatical was more your thing but...sure!

Bagels is a great basketball mind. He doesn't like my NBA thoughts though.
