With six months to go, the Design Pavilion at International jewellery London 2002 has already sold out. 68 stands, comprising some 80 designers, will celebrate what innovative British talent has to offer buyers of funky contemporary jewellery and accessories, fine jewellery and silverware at International Jewellery London 2002, which runs from 1 - 4 September at Earls Court 2 exhibition centre.,Gucci G Bandeau
New exhibitors to IJL 2002 include Gilmer Atelier, who plan to launch over 120 new pieces to their 'Zoo Collection' of contemporary silver jewellery with 22 ct. gold embellishments. Another first time exhibitor is Christine Savage: ' i always visited IJL to buy stones and gems and was so impressed with the small core area of the Design Pavilion, so I decided to take a stand.' Christine will be introducing a new collection of organic constructed pieces of silver jewellery with 18 ct. gold and semi-precious stones.
Miscellaneous:
Overall exhibitor space at IJL has grown by 20% over the past two years - up from 5.100m in 1999 to 6.100m in 2001
75% of IJL 2001 exhibitors have rebooked for 2002, which is the highest retention ever for IJL.
Of the 375 companies already booked for IJL 2002, just over 18% are fist time exhibitors.
International exhibitors include companies from germany, France Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Honk Kong, India, South Africa, USA, Australia, Turkey, Spain, Finland, Belgium, Poland, Italy, Ireland, Austria, Canada, Lithuania and Mexico.
Retailer attendance at IJL 2001 increased by 10%.
