The Knicks appear to be one step closer to signing Rasheed Wallace, who could be the latest and yet another veteran player this off-season to join the team just before training camp. A person with direct knowledge of the situation said Wallace took his physical with the Knicks’ training staff Thursday.

Wallace has considered coming out of retirement for the last two years. The decision to get a physical could be a signal that his signing with the Knicks might be imminent. The person close to the situation said Wallace could sign a league minimum deal (around $1.7 million) – which is all the Knicks can offer – as soon as Friday afternoon.

John Wall is the 4th #1 overall pick since Greg Oden in 2007 to have had a knee injury early on in their career.

With Rasheed Wallace, Knicks will 3 players – Kidd, Kurt Thomas, Sheed – with 51 years in NBA. Rockets 20 players have 40 seasons combined.

Can they get Allan Houston out of retirement?

KS, is there enough room in the Bucks backcourt for Stefhon Hannah?

Aren't the Knicks still paying Allan Houston even though he's no longer playing?

I think they might finally be out from under that deal but I do know that the league created the Allan Houston rule for getting out of bad contracts and then the Knicks were so stupid that they didn't use it on Houston and kept paying him.

I don't believe the Knicks could retroactively use it. IIRC Houston helped them by spreading the money out for over a decade.

So they don't even have to sign him to a new deal. He should totally suit up with Kidd and Camby. Somebody get Charlie Ward on the phone...

I could've sworn the Knicks had such a deal with Allan Houston...

Patrick Ewing is looking for a home too?

Ewing, I believe, is currently an assistant coach in Orlando. He was mentioned as a candidate for the Charlotte Bobcats' job, but didn't get the gig.

Jacque Vaughn should never become a head coach before Ewing. I would be pissed if I were him.

Jordan keeps another title from Ewing once again...

That may be true but Ewing should have gotten a shot before Vaughn.

There's a terrific chance they will be brutal. How many shot blocking, rebounding bigs with absolutely no offensive game can a team have?

19

Yes, especially after they trade Brandon.

PG's - Brandon Jennings, Beno Udrih
SG's - Monta Ellis, Doron Lamb

And newly signed tweener Marquis Daniels

He's in Golden State now so I guess the answer to that was no. He has NBA talent but he's an idiot. Not a bad kid but is known for doing stupid shit.
