I see now.

I feel bad for Dumars. I didn't know what was going on with the Ben Gordon and Charlie V. signings a few years ago. Now they've signed Josh Smith for big money, even though he's not going to help the young core take the proverbial baby step forward. I see them running in place, which would make it something like three consecutive years of running in place ever since the championship core withered away in 2009 or 2010.
