IDK you have it pretty close. I don't care about number one but your group is good. |

I prefer to separate Kobe's 5 rings into two categories: 3 rings: he was the second best player on a team that employed the best player on earth at the time. no one was stopping shaq from 2000-2003. 2 rings: unquestioned leader on both squads. |

Kobe was the closer though. That was an important role because Shaq couldn't shoot free throws. |

LeBron doesn't have the career stats yet. How do you have Kareem #9 and Jordan #1? |

Nas wrote: LeBron doesn't have the career stats yet. How do you have Kareem #9 and Jordan #1? Because I never as a basketball fan actually saw Kareem dominate in the pros like he did in college. I go back to the Bulls/Warriors battle (perspective only), Artis vs. Kareem and even vaguely Clyde Frazier winning titles. I don't remember Kareem ever living up to the legend being pushed as early as the mid-late 70s. And he played another 12-15 years. Most overrated player based upon my memories as a sports fan & the numbers. If I didn't have a buzz, I might push him out the top 10 altogether as defense factors in. And Jordan is No. 1 for me given the lack of actual competition for Russell's Celtics. All he had to do was try and balance (somewhat) Wilt, and the Celtics were all but guaranteed titles. |

I understand but this isn't your typical top 10 list though. I was ranking them solely off stats and rings. Jordan will always be #1 on my list if I include intangibles and everything else he brought to the game. |

Kareem should get the love for being a machine and consistency not penalized. |
