Top 5 Centers
2013-14 NBA Season

1. Anthony Davis
-21.7ppg, 10.5rpg, 2.9bpg, 52%FG
-He is the future of the center position. Without injury, and with the help of a few more quality players on the Pelicans, Davis will assuredly be a postseason fixture for the next decade. His 40 point 21 rebound game was the youngest such performance since Shaq in 1993.

2. Demarcus Cousins
-22.8ppg, 11.8rpg, 3.0apg, 49%FG
-Crazy? Yes. Can he be stopped in the post? No. Unfortunately, Cousins plays on a team that just doesn’t care about winning. On a contending team, he would be receiving much more recognition. He leads all centers in ppg, and I only expect that number to grow as he begins to scratch the surface of his potential.

3. Dwight Howard
-18.5ppg, 12.3rpg, 1.8bpg, 58%FG
-This is a down year for Howard. Having to share the ball with someone as talented as James Harden is affecting Dwight’s offensive production, but that isn’t why Houston brought in one of the best defensive centers of all time in the off season.

4. Al Jefferson
-21.6ppg, 10.5rpg, 2.2apg, 50%FG
-One of the most underrated players in the NBA, big AL has carried an otherwise lottery bound Bobcats team all season. He’s really turned it on for the stretch run averaging 25ppg and shooting 56% from the field in March.

5. Joakim Noah
-12.4ppg, 11.2rpg, 5.1apg, 48%FG
-The unquestioned leader on the 3rd seeded Chicago Bulls. In his last 10 games he’s averaging 15ppg, 10rpg, 7apg, 2.4bpg, 1.8spg, and shooting 50% from the floor. I honestly never thought he could put up a run like that.

Don't you think this list is missing a very important person?

I'm surprised you've included Howard. I thought you detested his existence?

This list is fucking stupid, because I'm going by starting centers, which means Anthont David is DQ'd. Nobody is taking Boogie, Howard, or Big Al over Noah.

It's

Noah
Gasol
Howard
Al
Boogie, reluctantly.

Anthont Davis isnt a center.

Well, I posted the list to provoke debate. I'm not saying these opinions are definitive.

Well, Davis should be a center.

No. He is a PF. Just because Steimsa is the best C on the roster doesn't mean AD should be considered a C.

I wish he was a Center?

I wish for a blowjob from Kate Upton, but he's not a center.

Carlos Boozer is more interested in defense than Demarcus Cousins

This is true, but he's not putting up 23 and 12 anymore either.

Cousins can at least rack up some blocks.
