Hinrich can get a vote but there is no way Harden should ever get a vote and the best defensive player in the league should always be on the team. |

I will agree with the Harden/Hinrich level stuff but this isn't crazy. The idea that Lebron for all his greatness has had one portion of his game taken away from a younger player is not preposterous. This is the problem with these awards and I will include MJ and most especially baseball (Ripken/Jeter). The older players are superstars and they keep that vote forever no matter what portion of their game erodes as they age. They need to get over it and admit that some young hungry ass next generation player plays defense better than the King. |

It's not necessarily a joke. LeBron did dog it a bit this year on defense. - Durant surpassed him on that end analytically. But that's not even a criticism. He realizes what the regular season is and has been asking to carry an enormous load for years now and is pacing himself. James Harden getting votes is embarrassing. |

Lebron has always been overrated defensively. He rarely checks the best offensive player and the notion that he can guard every position is also a fallacy. He never checks centers and a few well guarded possessions at the end of the game is not enough to say he is a stopper. |
