San An, missed 5 of last 6 and if you saw Duncans last misses, they looked terrible. Identical bad shots. Exhausted.

When I played in HS we shot free throws in groups of 4. One guy shot, one guy rebounded, one guy jumped rope and one guy ran laps. You shot 5 free throws and then rotated, the guy running show next.

coach was an asshole, but the guy was right. I can make 20/25 when not tired and just shooting, but can you make them at the end when they count and you are exhausted.

duncans last 2 were shots from an exhausted old man. Parkers were from an exhausted guy that just took an elbow to the ribs.

our coach made us do the same thing. to the point now that when free throws are missed repeatedly on the pro/college level, i'm furious. obviously the backyard is different than an arena full of people and in the moment, but i can go out back and hit 9/10 most of the time as a 34 yr old who plays basketball about never anymore.
