Post subject:  What if MJ played today?

I'm referring to the 24 hour sports news cycle, social media, huge endorsements(let's assume someone took his place and pioneered this aspect before him to this degree). Would he have stayed in Chicago? Maybe chase even more stardom(percieved or real) in NY or as Magic's successor? I'm thinking after his first three peat given today's league structure I could see him demanding a trade/opting out and doing it all over again in Charlotte/NY/somewhere else. I think his competitive nature would rule out LA.

We would probably of found out if the rumor about his gambling suspension were true.

He still has the same mentality now. I would suspect he would hate the social media era but then he would go on the court and average 60 so everyone would forget about this era's Dr J.
