Watching a documentary about Reggie Miller...

Reggie went on and on about how great MJ was... how he was the greatest he'd ever seen or played against.

After about a 10 minute MJ love-fest, the interviewer asked Miller,"Were you guys friends?"

Reggie answered right away, "No, absolutely not. We hated each other."

That's what made those times great. They hated each other. We will never see those times again, and it is sad. They're all friends now. Makes the rivalries much less meaningful.

How about this true answer from Reggie 'If MJ would have talked to me, I would have loved to have been friends with him"

Reggie is the father of the flop and when he is the only one doing it, in a hard core league, you can imagine what everyone thougth of guy who cant play (or didnt), cherry picked, never drove the hoop...there is a reason he was called CHERYL by a number of other players.

Will not deny a great shot. All time greatness regarding his shot

And, IMO, the 2nd greatest clutch player of I've ever seen. Never wanted the ball in that guy's hands at the end of a game.

Assuming you're calling Jordan the clutchest player you've ever seen how is Miller any more clutch than Larry Bird?

Miller could put in the three when needed. Unfortunately, MJ had him meaningless.

Yes, just like everyone else in that generation. When you think of all the great players who Jordan denied a championship... shit that guy was good.

Not a person out of my age even thing about Dominique. In the early years it was actually a contest whether MJ or DW would lead in scoring avg.

It's kinda crazy that 'Nique isn't mentioned more. Dude put up some gawdy numbers for many years.

Not buying that he had nothing but a shot. When good that team was a legit threat to take the east, and the team was built around Reggie.

Just like no one like my guy the mailman anymore. He is so yesterday but would stick it right up Garnett or Durant's ass. In my humble opinion. And don't even make me bring up my lost guy Worthy.

There are a lot of guys that are sort of forgotten. I remember calling the score after hearing B&B state that Allen Iverson was the best player ever under 6 feet. I brought Isaiah Thomas and they stated that A I was better. Didn't mind that because that their opinion. They proceeded to state that Isaiah was not the best player on the Pistons. That is where the stupidity started. Isaiah Thomas should be in the discussion as one of the greatest players of that era. Maybe not with the big three but a notch below. His name rarely comes up during these discussions.

Reggie Miller is Dale Ellis with several clutch playoff moments. He shouldn't be in the HoF.

The basketball hall of fame is bogus because it takes the college years into account. He had a great college career and a very good NBA career. That will usually get you in. In terms of top 2 guards of that era he was not in the top five. Jordan Drexler Dumars Richmond Steve Smith were better. Pre injury Ron Harper also better
