The question is, does Lebron want Blatt to remain so he can continue to run the team, or does he want Thibbs. Either way, doesnt look like Blatt is safe....its just Lebrons choice.

I saw it from close range in my role as sideline reporter through the Finals for ESPN Radio. LeBron essentially calling timeouts and making substitutions. LeBron openly barking at Blatt after decisions he didn't like. LeBron huddling frequently with [assistant coach Tyronn] Lue and so often looking at anyone other than Blatt.
There was LeBron, in one instance I witnessed from right behind the bench, shaking his head vociferously in protest after one play Blatt drew up in the third quarter of Game 5, amounting to the loudest nonverbal scolding you could imagine.
Which forced Blatt, in front of his whole team, to wipe the board clean and draw up something else. [...]
How is any fellow Cavalier going to treat Blatt with something resembling reverence when LeBron treats him like a bench ornament in plain view?
How can LeBron publicly laud his own leadership, as he so often does, when setting that sort of tone?

It should be LeBron's call.

Blatt Should have made it clear from Day 1 they do things his way. I would never allow that kind of disrepect and if it kept up,I'd humiliate LeBron in front of the press for his selfishness. What's the worst that could happen? They send you home to earn your millions?

Is it time for the downslide of Lebron now? His 3 point shot was TERRIBLE in the playoffs...and that should be getting better, not worse as he gets older, as he cant continue to plow the lane for the next 2 years???

Thibs would be Lebron's nightmare. Thibs won't back down.

His shooting percentage for the playoffs was not good though. He is not as athletic as he used to be. Andre Igoudala proved that he can be guarded. Jimmy Butler too. The series with Golden State was more competitive than it should have been. He gets credit for that but he really didnt play that well. He took a lot of shots and dominated the ball.

Ben Gordon's shooting percentage was never good either. You love Ben Gordon.

There is no Pat Riley type running the Cavs who can tell Lebon to shut the fuck up. He will continue to be the defacto coach as long as he is there. Which means no one worth a shit will take the job anyways.

Actually Dan and Terry have steadfastly predicted Tibbs stays away from LeBron. Terry's quotes would be particularly hilarious if that happened, Terry went pretty hard on that not happening. Jason wins again. He's been calling this one for some time.

The Owner took a beating the last time Lebron James left. No way he risks that again. Blatt will be sacrificed if it comes to that. During one of the games it was so obvious that it was Lebron James that called one of the timeouts. The announcers didn't speak on it either. Undermining the coach will backfire on him at some point.

You're right , but chuckin 3 s with a bunch of role players was doomed to fail. If Irving plays that series I think Cave win.

He is still the best....but not as good. Gonna need more rest, upcoming years. Those wheels have big miles on them. Andre and Jimmy did as good a job as anyone guarding him....

Lebron doesnt jump on his 3 point shot anymore. 3 Pointers are a leg shot and it used to be how he shot. He still can and he does when necessary, but like Rose, your days of driving to the lane become less and less...and we are going to see LESS>

Cleveland should grab Thibs..easy decision.

The cavs has proven to hire the absolute worst coaches available . If Blatt plays Mozgov it would have gone 7.

LeBron had no legs and we don't know what injuries he played with. That being said I don't think he has the ability to play 40+ minutes at a high level anymore. He was drained in the Finals.

I respect him more than I ever have now.

It will backfire when he's no longer good.

He showed what type of competitor that he is. I've never seen him compete the way that he did in these playoffs. The guy played with a lot of heart during these playoffs. He had a lot of bad shooting performances but his effort can't be questioned this yr.

This is the start of the downside.

From watching these playoffs/Finals, when Lebron had confidence that he could kick out to his perimeter shooters and they'd knock-down open look 3's and/or he'd consistently get calls on his drives, Cleveland won. When Lebron lost confidence in his perimeter shooters to knock-down open 3's and didn't get calls on his drives, Cleveland lost.

Lebron's 30 years old. Get him a Popovich style offense and a more balanced team on the offensive end, and he'll be winning titles til he's Tim Duncan's age.

LeBron is no Duncan. Too selfish. A very "me" player.

That is the untold story about him. He has always been portrayed as an unselfish player. He really isn't he dominates the ball and always has dominated the ball. When Chris Bosh told Kevin Love that he is difficult to play with that's what he was referring to.

Jordan was about as selfish as they come and he did ok.

Jordan took shots but he allowed other guys to handle the ball. As his career progressed he didn't do a lot of ball handling. LeBron tries to do everything on offense. Truth be told Kyrie Irving is Cleveland's best offensive player. James ices him out quite often as well. Perfect example was game 1 of the series. Last five min. Of the fourth quarter it was all James. Though he missed a lot of shots he kept firing.

He doesn't get called on it a lot but he is selfish. Wade called him on it and said he needs to trust his teammates more. Once Irving went down it was difficult to do but he does it when Love and Irving are available to play
