This is your ultimate difference maker. He will only play if he has the right players on his team. For all the talk about going home it was always about playing with Love and Irving. Once that wasn't enough he sat out for 2-3 weeks last year until they made the trade for Mosgov, Smith, and Shumpert. His mysterious injury was miraculously healed once they made the trade.


Now he is at it once again. He wants to see what management will do before he resigns. They can't do much if they have a boatload of bread tied up in Five players. He, Irving, Love, Thompson, and Varajao will probably comprise 85% of the teams salary cap. Don't know off hand but I'm guessing that's the case. 3-4 guys all making max money kills your cap you idiot. This is what he created by insisting that he play with other star players.

Golden State and San Antonio won by having two guys in their starting lineup still on rookie deals and no one making max money on their roster. That may be the model for winning the championship. He left Miami primarily because he realized that the team was done. Now he is holding Cleveland hostage if they don't compose a roster that he likes.


This is your difference making, take anyone to the playoffs simply by putting on that team's jersey competitor at work yet again. I forgot to note that it is all excused by the mere fact that he wants to win.
