These games always suck. Probably won't be much to discuss.

Hey, what do you guys think about the Bulls trading Jimmy Butler?

I am watching, but not expecting much.

I miss the NBA all star games of the 80s and early 90s

I remember some good ones, like in the early 2000s when the West had KG, Shaq, Dirk, Kobe, and TD, and the East won a close game once behind small guys like Iverson and I think Marbury. That was fun. Shaq was always fun for me...trying to cross people over and dunking his own deliberate free three brick. Hope this one gets close at some point.

There was alotta talented big men and tweeners in those days.

CWebb was in there, too.

The West should just throw out Steph, Westbrook, Kawhi, Durant, and Draymond Green for 10 straight minutes and go up 78-5 immediately and cruise the rest of the game. Kobe being on that side is an equalizer, fortunately.

Can't believe I forgot about him. They were stacked. Those days were the "golden age" for me...not necessarily in terms of quality of play, I don't know about that, but I watched the NBA and discussed it during those days more than I do now, and so did all my friends, so there's a sort of irreplaceable aura around that period for me. Maybe it also has something to do with aging. Was in HS around the mid to early 2000s, so all those guys were older than me and I wonder if it was easier to think the world of their abilities due to my youth. Now with players my age and younger, I am not in awe as much...sometimes I just don't care. For example some guy named Zach Levine or whatever won the dunk contest this year and I think last year too. Cool. But if someone came up to me and said he's better dunker than Vince Carter, I'd sit that guy's ass down and show him a VC highlight reel to set him straight.

I loved those days, too. The big men in that period were much more skilled.

I bet the Big O is the one who gets pissed and starts calling him unrealistic.

Big O definitely went on a rant about how he's no Bobby Kennedy and how today's youth has no idea what a good politician is.

The fans should have voted John Lucas III in as captain.
