Raptors always choke in the playoffs The GS/SA series is really the only one that matters, and this first round is especially brutal. Portland/LAC might be interesting, but that's about it. |

Jalen Rose just stated "this is why you can't judge a player solely based on analytics" when discussing Dwight Howard. |

Turned on the game and over the span of 5 minutes saw him: fumble two easy rebounds out of bounds (knocking one out of the hands of a teammate), set a moving screen, turn it over on a bad pass, and miss a wide open two handed dunk. It was pretty amazing. |

The Houston Rockets have attempted the 2nd most number of 3 point shots in the league yet have the 19th best percentage. This is why Daryl Morey is an idiot. He is the king of analytics. 3 point shots or layups are his philosophy. Long 2's (worst shot in basketball according to proponents of analytics) and mid range shots are eschewed so that his team can jack up 3 pointers at will. It's a stupid philosophy and also one of the main reasons his team is mediocre. In basketball you were always taught to take the best available shot, regardless of where it happens to be on floor. Best available as long as it's a make able shot for you. You don't pass up good shots simply because some idiot with a computer says that 33% makes on 3's is exactly the same as 50% on twos. |

Pistons had the Cavs on the edge but it's tied up now with 9 minutes left. Pretty rough seeing Steve Blake attempt to run a pick n roll. Embarrassing that it's even close. |

MAVS regaining their late-season, smothering defense form. OKC weak like Ukraine. |

If Curry doesn't play in the second round they are not going to make it past that round. |

Chris Paul broke his hand and the Blazers tied it 2-2 tonight. If the Clips can still squeak by Portland without him the Warriors have an easy path to the WCF. But it looks like Portland has a great chance at making the WCF. |

They can beat LA now that Paul is out. I don't think they can beat Portland without Curry. We'll see. |
