Yoenis Cespedes still isn't yet an official free agent, but at a potential cost of as much as $60 million, tweets Gordon Edes of ESPNBoston.com, it's understandable that this process may still take a little while.

Sixty-million is a lot of scratch, and twice what the Reds gave Aroldis Chapman. Cespedes is still being scouted by big league clubs as he finalizes his citizenship status in the Dominican Republic and requests free agent status from Major League Baseball. We know several clubs have varying degrees of interest, according to multiple reports over the past few weeks.

FOXSports.com's Jon Morosi tweets Saturday that the Yankees, Marlins and Tigers appear to be the most aggressive on Cespedes.

FoxSports.com's Ken Rosenthal tweeted last Saturday that a source indicated Cespedes could be declared a free agent by the end of the winter meetings, which ran through Thursday, Dec. 8.

Once he becomes a free agent, expect the bids to come in fast and furious, given the level of interest. ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick wrote Friday that the rumored contract tallies have not scared off clubs, as they continue to pour in to see the 26-year-old work out in the Dominican recently.

Katz has said Cespedes prefers center field but is willing to play the corners, which opens up the possibilities to almost every team in the big leagues.

One team not listed above is the Braves, who do not plan to be players for Cespedes, despite having been seen at a recent workout of the Cuban's. The club says they were in the Dominican to check on their Latin American operations, David O'Brien tweeted.
