Pretty big news.

Quote:
The Los Angeles Dodgers will name Tampa Bay Rays general manager Andrew Friedman as their new president of baseball operations, sources told ESPN.

Ned Colletti, who has been the Dodgers general manager since 2005, will remain with the club in a new role as senior advisor to the president and CEO of the Dodgers, Stan Kasten.

Sources said that Friedman, in his role as president of baseball operations, will have the ability to hire a general manager.

No way he joins Friedman, AF is right in the THEO Mold. he is why TB kept producing quality.

He was waiting to see if his father could buy a team. His dad tried to buy the Astros.

Will be very interesting, he isnt a 'just spend" guy. He will be shipping some people out...no matter what the contract is.

White Sox want carl crawford?

Thats why I counted him out. You know CC is on Jerry and kennys radar. A guy who showed MVP type talent and since being paid...maybe stopped taking his maJic Juice, but if the Dodgers are going to carry most of that contract....thats CLearance Section shopping right there.

I would think Matt Kemp might have more value for the Sox.

I think Kershaw would be a better pickup.

Kemp could realistically be gotten. They have way too many OF's and he would probably be the easiest sell.

Just leave him off the playoff roster.
