Brian Runge is a douchebag

In that Mets game, I have never seen a more blatant case of baiting a player as he did against Beltran and Jerry Manuel.


If the league does not suspend this pig headed moron, it is a shame.

pity is that I could not agree with Kruk more in his rant against him on Baseball Tonight.

I didn't see it, but "Waddle & Silvy" mentioned it briefly on their ESPN 1000 midday show today. Brian Runge and all these umpires think they're bigger than the game, but even they are not above the rule book. I'd like to think the World Umpires Association, the union now representing MLB's "Men in Blue", would take disciplinary action against Runge for the incident involving Manuel in the Mariners/Mets' game.

An update on this story...While the New York Mets' Carlos Beltran & interim manager Jerry Manuel got fined by MLB for arguing balls & strikes vs. Seattle, umpire Brian Runge got suspended for...1 game? You've got to be kidding!
