I never understood why the superstars need high profile agents like Boras. Just get a lawyer to read over the contract. If you are one of the top 50 players in baseball, it is not hard to calculate your worth.

Mid tier to lower level players would benefit the most and get some team to overpay for their services. Kris Bryant is a good example of a player that needs Boras. Not a superstar, but Boras will get some idiot GM to overpay for him.

Boras treats you like a king when you are a pre-arbitration player and even through arbitration.....until you can treat yourself like a king and he makes a shit ton off of you. Think of all the illegal stuff college players and college players' families get but make it legal. That is why players sign with him. He absolutely takes care of himself but he also takes care of them.
