He's 18-2 for a team that's 59-67. He's not on par with Steve Carlton who went 27-10 for the '72 Phillies that finished the season 59-97 but it's pretty damn impressive.

Should win comeback player of the year as well as I believe he spent time in AAA last year due to inconsistency.

I'd like to take some credit for this turn around...or at least for he crap season last year since I had him on my fantasy team last year. I also had that guy on the Yankees that died in a plane crash...I forgot his name. But I guess he won't be winning comeback player of the year anyway.

So he's coming back from being bad?

Cliff Lee was the best in baseball this season. Too bad the rest of the team decided to take the year off, they would have kept fatso sabbathia and the Cubs would be playing the Mets.

Cliff Lee has already won one piece of hardware...the A.L. Comeback Player of the Year today. If the Indians' lefty isn't the Cy Young Winner, something is very wrong...

Quentin should have been the comeback player of the year.

I am sure a case could be made for Quentin, but wouldn't the difference be that Lee was a good player and then had a down time (stay in the minors, etc) and then "came back" to be dominant this year, whereas Quentin was never really a good player before this year?

He wasn't, but he was hampered by injuries. This was the first time since college that he was healthy, and he showed that when healthy, he can play this game a little bit.
