How long before this thread becomes an argument over Billy Beane often mis represented philosophies?

You know, I have to question Billy Beane's philosophies with this one.

So 2 posts. Nice. It always seems those who argue over Beane havent read the book they say is "bullshit" Anyways the main misconception is that Beane loves OBP. He loves whatever stat is currently undervalued. When he contributed to that book It was OBP another year it could be defense.
Anyways how do you think he reacts when people mistake him for the gay Billy Bean?
Harshly?

Like usual - I was being sarcastical and stuff. Unlike usual - it was strictly for your enjoyment.

This way he will have a good player to trade in July 2009.

So it's safe to assume that Billy will either turn him around in July for more value than he gave up, or that the two first rounders in '09 are worth more to him than the players he's sending to the Rox.

FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal says that the A's actually have $$$$ to spend this offseason, but it does seem weird for that franchise to acquire a player like Matt Holliday from Colorado. Then again, the A's are planning to move into a new ballpark of their own real, real soon...

You can't sell hope if you don't restock that farm system every year. Billy Beane's teams are always just a few years away from dominance.

Holy shit. He gave up Street, Gonzalez and Smith?!? That's a TON of controllable talent for 1 year of Holliday. Hard to figure Beane is going to get more value than that at the deadline. If they have money to resign him why he hell did they trade Haren, Harden and Blanton??

I don't mind it one bit, and I like the A's. The A's have arms for days and Gonzalez is a bit of a flameout.

edit: I wrote that assuming you meant Carlos Gonzalez. Was it Carlos or Gio? Either way, I still don't mind.
