I don't think Eloy has the same problem as some of the others. He got himself into shape a few years ago and got injured, just the same as when he was heavier. I don't think it was the easy money that sidetracked his career. Moncada, on the other hand, can take his boxes of twinkies and long covid himself into oblivion.

When you can't walk and chew gum at the same time, injuries will happen.

They were one dumb pitching change from being in the ALCS. The Tigers story isn't that they're so-so. It's that they're injury prone. They should have been good a lot sooner.

The Tigers are moving Torkelson to the Patrick Wisdom short side platoon DH by signing Gleyber Torres and moving Colt Keith to 1B. I think an Alex Bregman signing is going to happen, and that will move Matt Vierling to a utility role.
