I would be okay with flushing a significant part of an upcoming season if it would get this competitive balance situation sorted out. At least a quarter of MLB teams are basically playing in a different league than the Dodgers. That type of imbalance fuels cynicism and breeds disinterest. It's also going to take more than a salary cap to get that done. There's basically a de facto cap already with the luxury tax.
