3/48. Good for him. A lot of adversity in his career and personal life. Should enjoy a pretty nice retirement now.

Crowded outfield....that would have to involve Schwarber if true. Cutch is hard to figure. Such a great player, but he was terrible last year by his standards. He has to bounce back, right?

well, I'd like that...still don't like his plate approach.

It could be done without Schwarber. Cutch is on the wrong side of 30 and had a subpar year. It would take Baez and Almora...possibly a bit more.

But I don't see it happening.

No chance, I could see the cubs make a nice offer to Cain after this season though.

Some buzz down here that the Cards and Royals have talked of a deal that would send Wade Davis and Cain to the Cards for Kolten Wong and prospects

Royals must know something about Davis.

He has 1 year left on his contract and the Royals want to dump some money this off season. Trading Davis sheds $10 million right there. He's fine.

You either undervalue McCutchen or overvalue Baez and Almora.

No surprise. This completes the fleecing of the Cubs. I couldn't be happier that guy is gone.

You must have gotten a hold of some of those Naperville North gummies.

Why trade either Almora or Baez for a position player, much less both of them? Cutch is over 30, coming off a down year. Your trade doesn't make sense for the Cubs. For the Pirates, I'd make that trade all day long.

Fleecing of the Cubs? He helped bring them a WS. Not sure how that is fleecing them...

He didn't help us do shit. Time and time again he almost blew it for us.

In a calendar year the Yankees made a couple of trades with the Cubs and on top of receiving guys like Castro and Torres they literally have all the players they traded away too.

Yeah, keep trying with this weak ass shit.

You would really have trusted some of those games to Rondon and Strop to finish off? No way.

Chapman was huge throughout the playoffs and WS.

He tried to giveaway every series. He's not an elite closer and I'm glad he's gone. I would like to have Torres back too.

His tears in the dugout in game 7 were an inspiration

That Chapman deal is rough. Gets to opt-out in 3 years? What are the Yankees thinking?

They are thinking that there is no way in hell he opts out in 3 years, about as much of a chance Heyward opts out.

The only times he pitched poorly was when Maddon misused him

Because McCutchen can contribute more to possible 2017 and 2018 World Series teams more than Almora and Baez would.

It would put Zobrist back at 2B, giving you an every day leadoff hitter. If Baez is at 2B and Schwarber is in LF, where does Zobrist play / who is the leadoff hitter those days? Jay? Almora? No thanks.

Zobrist / Bryant / Rizzo / Cutch would be great to start a game with. I like Baez...and Almora could be a decent player...but McCutchen is an MVP...and one down year isn't going to scare me away from what could be many of his prime years.

Maddon proved the pressure was too much for him. I still hate Chapman.
