Great line from Obama when Buck said that the NL needed a "bailout plaN" because they hadn't won in 12 years:

"Too bad - We're all out of money". :D

I love what Hawk said about Mauer this weekend.

He's on loan from God.

I've got a feeling Ted Lilly is gonna get rocked and blow this game open for the AL.

The NL's offense has been very quiet outside of their 2 out rally in the 2nd.

It's a really quick game so far. Even with FOX's extended commercials.

Joe & Tim mentioned something about pitching being the story in their opening remarks...So far, it looks like clutch hitting and NOT homers will determine this one. Something also tells me that Jeff Goldblatt & Robin Robinson aren't going to be on until well past midnight tonight, but what do I know? These MLB/FOX Sports' prime time games seem to drag on & on...

That Taco Bell commercial was actually pretty decent! Especially for being 3 minutes long :)

Why do all of the white people in St. Louis look like they are racist?

Looks like they are saving Lilly in case of extra innings. He can probably go 3 innings. You gotta figure they'll use closers for the 8th and 9th.

i have to admit these games have been pretty tightly contested the last few years, and at least made for interesting viewing.

If I'm in St. Louis, Lilly is probably the last guy I want to bring into a game.

How, in the name of all things good and holy, is Angel Hernandez assigned to work the damn All-Star game?

Spanky, I'm not sure how "Commissioner" Allan H. Selig and the World Umpires Association, the union representing the men in blue these days, determines who works games like this... :? The "Commissioner" is clueless as is...

I would say so... probably could go another two years after this if he wanted. He's (to me) an absolute no-brainer first ballot hall-of-famer, and a great ambassador for the sport. I am definitely not a Yankees fan, but I am a fan of him.
