And the strikeout-walk-homerun paradigm is boring as hell. If all runs were scored on walks and the Cubs had 9 Eddie Yosts I'm sure you'd be happy with your World Series, but baseball would be boring as hell and most people wouldn't want to watch.
The TV bubble hasn't burst yet. The current salaries are based on the worth of current advertising spots broadcast during current games. Those commercial spots are important...speeding up the game means smaller commercial blocks and less total commercials.
That could actually bring down the worth of TV deals.
