The TV bubble hasn't burst yet. The current salaries are based on the worth of current advertising spots broadcast during current games. Those commercial spots are important...speeding up the game means smaller commercial blocks and less total commercials.

That could actually bring down the worth of TV deals.

they could replace Hawk Harrelson's PBP with an endless loop of Kars for Kids ads. That might make the game more appealing for Sox fans at least.
