Dodgers are 5-0 at home this post-season, 3-1 on the road. Dodgers just need to win one game at Minute Maid to negate a potential Verlander won game and they'll win the series.

Astros are undefeated against lefties who have NOT won the Cy Young.

But they are also 0-1 on Wednesdays.

Cromulent point.

Dodgers only loss in the post was on a Wednesday.

Minute Maid, at least during this playoff run, seems like a legit home-field advantage. Dodger Stadium might as well be a neutral field.

Calling out Altuve (averages ~40 stolen bases a season) when he should've been on first base with fewer than 2 outs was a huge call, prolly saved the game for the Dodgers more than anything else last night. Like every other pitcher, Kershaw's a different pitcher once you get a guy on first against him. His SLG% against balloons to around .500.

For all the crap Kershaw gets about his lackluster postseason stats, the Dodgers are now 8-1 in the last 9 playoff games he has started.

I'm hoping Verlander has a great game today, and Darvish on Friday. Really a good series to watch some great pitchers.

hopefully the strike zone returns to some sort of normal tonight. i'd think it'd favor the Astros lineup to have a non-pitcher friendly strike zone. And Verlander mostly gets guys out with pitches in the zone anyhow.

if there's anyone who gets a pass on running to first base on a presumed ball-four before the ump makes the call, it'd be the reigning two-time batting champion.

That pitch was at his ankles.

It was a make up call for when he stood up to give the strike on the 3rd or 4th pitch and held off.

Robot umps will not have the make up call issue.

It looked like Roberts moved to the top step of the dug-out and said something to the home-plate ump right around then too. so the make-up call thing makes sense, i suppose. Other than Springer, who swung at everything regardless, didn't seem like the Astros hitters ever really adjusted to the ump's strike zone last night. taking pitches below the knees but close enough to the zone to warrant a swing last night.

That strike zone was absurd. You are giving two great control pitchers too much of an advantage.

I'd be in favor of a fuller strike zone especially above the waist. But the inconsistency of strikes/balls is just terrible.

Yea, the top couple inches of the strike zone is completely ignored. Its basically waist to knees for the most part.

Strike zone lowered when umps went from massive, exterior chest protectors to the under-the-clothes protection.

Vin sounds great, real shaky hands though.

Looked like Taylor caught that rebound in the forehead, hit his hat brim.

Ease up, Altuve. Hit would've been useful there.

Ugly, 3 pitch K AB's from Altuve & Correa with RISP.

Interesting. IBB a LHH to get to Verlander. Sets the Astros up for next inning.

They ruined hockey, basketball and football. Looks like baseball is ruined too. No reason for Hill to be out of the game.

Ump giving both pitchers the right hand side off of the plate. Haven't seen too many bad calls low tonight. McCann got strike two on a pitch down out of the zone. Otherwise, the zone's more horizontal than vertical tonight.

Maeda hasn’t allowed a hit to a RHH all post season. Top three hitters for the Astros are RH. That Roberts is a smart fucker.

You said walking the 8th hitter was the right move. That’s why he did it.
