Sonny Gray is the 3rd Vanderbilt pitcher to start a game in this post season joining David Price and Mike Minor.

Price was awful. If you're a ace, you shouldn't have lefties go 6 for 11 against you, when you're a lefthanded pitcher. Ortiz hit 2 bombs that were just killed. Meyers is 0 for 9 and had the play that killed game 1, he's choking badly in the spotlight.

If the Cubs grabbed Girardi, I thought there's a chance they package many of the Cubs Minor League Prospect thread heroes for David Price. I'm not sure how I would feel about that, especially because you still have to pay him. This should be the last Cubs reference in the MLB Playoffs thread.

Not a real smart move bringing in Porcello in that situation. That was a hell of a good game. To steal a line from Rosey, Sonny Gray your table is ready.

I LOVE the Balfour rage.

Indeed, noted Tampa Bay rapist Josh Leuke does indeed keep coming at you. Also noted anti-Semite Delmon Dog.

That would have been awesome if they got Puig at first. How would you score thrown out while cheering for yourself.

I know better than to count the Cardinals out but man Id love to see Pittsburgh close out that series. All due respect to the Cardinal fans here.

The Pirates better close it out tomorrow. They are not winning a game 5 in St Louis

It's too bad such a team leader like Brian McCann is hitless so far.

Hes far to worries about home run trots to concentrate on such trivialities such as hitting.

I have to question starting Lynn, Kelly, and Wacha in a playoff series games 2-3-4. Cardinal has been getting these guys to perform all year at various times, but you just never know how young pitchers are going to hold up to the playoff glare. There's nothing wrong with Shelby Miller that we know of.

TLR at least knew when to go to a bullpen game... nothing gets my goat more than seeing a SP bunting then getting removed the next inning. C'mon Matheny, this isn't some getaway game in June here.

I only made it to the sixth inning (just past midnight here) last night. Awoke to find they lost. Game 4 starts at 9:07 tonight, so I should be able to watch some of that, assuming our Krakow hotel has WiFi. Wacha in an elimination game makes me very nervous! They blew too many chances to score on Liriano yesterday.

That god damn Brian McCann and the Braves are at it again! Why does Brian McCann and the Braves care how long Big Roidi watches his home run?!? Don't give up a home run in the first place Brian McCann! You're not the protector of baseball Brian McCann! Just pitch the ball and shut up Brian McCann! Brain McCann!
